*Demographers analysis can cover whole societies, or specific groups defined by criteria such as education, nationality, religion and ethnicity.
*Demographers are most often employed in government positions to take the census every ten years and help governments understand population growth.
*For example, the fact that Japan has negative population growth was determined by demographers.

* The world's population recently reached 7 billion in 2011 and has been continuing to grow.
*In general, urbanized and modern areas, such as cities, tend to have higher population densities than do rural areas.
*Families in poverty tend to have more children than wealthy families.
On average, women in developed countries tend to have anywhere from 1-2 children, while women in developing countries tend to have anywhere from 3-6 (depending on the country). Again, this was discovered through demographical analysis.
