The Latest and Greatest

What a great week! The students LOVE having lunch outside. They are doing such a great job picking up after themselves. I'm proud of them. We hope the weather stays nice enough so we can continue to have picnic lunch outside for a few more weeks.

Parents - PLEASE remember to send masks and water bottles with your child each day. We realize sometimes children forget, and that is no problem at all. However, we have a number of friends who need to come to the office almost daily for a mask and/or water bottle. While we love to accommodate the children, this creates a financial hardship on the school and interferes with the morning routing of the class. We have several cloth masks that can be washed. We woudl LOVE to give them out to students who are in need. Please let us know if you could use an extra one to help with the daily mask need. It can be frustrating and difficult to remember. Even for us adults!! ;)

Here is the Reflections link again in case you missed it last week. We hope to have a lot of students enter. We love to recognize them! To submit, create a PTA account on https://www.utahpta.org/reflections and upload your entries. You may enter as many categories as you wish but only one entry per category. Also, students doing class remotely may enter.

Here’s a link to a tutorial if you would like step by step instructions on how to submit your entry

On Friday we had Stand Strong Day. It was a lot of fun! We even had a soccer game between Miss Peery's 3rd grade and Mrs. Huston's 4th grade! (To me they are both winners :) :) Lots of students dressed up showing how they Stand Strong in keeping their body healthy. We were also able to recognize two students in each class for being great examples of Stand Strong Eagles. Pictures of each class will be posted on Monday on our web page. Those students who were recognized got to come to the principal's office and choose a fun prize. We'll celebrate Stand Strong day again on Nov. 6.

PTA

PTA is still accepting memberships! Please consider joining PTA if you haven't already. Joining PTA does NOT mean you have to be on a committee. To join just log into your iCampus portal. It is only $6.

If you shop Amazon, choose Art City Elementary on Amazon Smile. A portion of your purchase goes right back to Art City PTA, which means it goes right to our school, too!

We are still collecting Box Tops. But now there's an app!! You don't need to cut out, save and send those little tiny cardboard pieces to school. Download the Box Tops app and scan away. It makes a big difference for Art City Elementary.
