A verb is a word that shows action or link a subject to another word in a sentence.

Action verbs- tells what the subject is doing.

Linking verbs- links a subject to a noun or an adjective in the predicate.

EX. Natural disasters hit the globe nearly every day.


A pronoun is a word used in place of a noun.There are several different types of pronouns. Some examples of pronouns are

  • I
  • you
  • he
  • she
  • it


An adverb is a word that is used to modify a verb.


A conjunction is use to link words.
