Congratulations to our Creative Cafe Participants

We had a great turn out for our Creative Cafe at the Willow Grove Barnes and Noble. We were excited to see so many students, staff and families joining us for this event. We enjoyed performances from students who sang, danced, performed dramatic readings and skits, played musical instruments, and even shared stand up comedy. We enjoyed learning about the talents of our students that we don't always get to see during regular school hours. We have students with all kinds of gifts. Thanks for sharing them! Thank you to Mr. Arehart and the Literary Magazine crew for sponsoring this event.

Congratulations to MA Students participating in Math Counts

Ten students from Murray Avenue participated in the MATHCOUNTS competition held on Feb 8th in Lansdale. This competition is sponsored by area engineering organizations as a prelude to Engineers Week.

Students competed against 18 other local middle schools solving challenging math problems in both individual and team rounds. Competition was fierce and the results are in. Seven of the ten students achieved scores recognized as highly commendable and four of the students scored in the top 25%.

Congratulations to our team members: Maggie Ruan, Nidhi Ram, Megan Xie, Alan Joseph, Joshua Ferker, Mia Belov, Hannah Kideckel, Rebecca Kideckel, Timothy Chang, and Chloe Rudderow.

Murray Avenue Clothing Drive

Please consider donating your gently used clothing to our clothing drive running from February 24th to March 13th. Donation bins are in the lobby. Please click HERE for more information.

A Message from Our Athletic Director, Mr. Matt Heiland

Congratulation to the 8th Grade Boys Basketball team. They earned the #1 seed in the recent MCAA Basketball Tournament. The boys reached the finals, but unfortunately fell short against a very good Sandy Run team. Ultimately, this group of individuals as a team, completed one of the most successful two year stretches in Murray Ave. history. Congratulations to coaches and players on a great season.

Spring Sports are slated to begin on March 16th. Please remember that in order to participate, all registrations must be completed on FamilyID prior.

Please click on the following link for directions on how to register.

Please remember that if your child tried out or played a fall or winter sport, you can fill out the recertification link. If they are a NEW athlete, there is a separate link you must fill out.

Cafeteria Information

Breakfast and Lunch menus are posted on a new interactive website, Nutrislice. Our innovative and interactive site and mobile app makes our school menus more convenient and informative than ever before! Download the Nutrislice App from the App Store or get it on Google Play and then search Lower Moreland.

Food sold during the school day is required to meet nutrition standards that are referred to as Smart Snacks. Smart Snacks encourage students to make healthier snack choices to help give them the nutrition they need to grow and learn. Check out the 2019-2020 price list for the list of snacks served in the cafeteria.

The cafeteria had a special treat, homemade festive donuts, for the students at Murray Ave for Valentine's Day. The students loved the donuts and cannot wait until we make them again!

LMTSD Bullying Prevention Information

We wanted to provide some information to families following our LMTSD Parent/Guardian Bullying Prevention Information survey. Below are some answers to some Frequently Asked Questions and information related to district procedures.

Are you aware of the anonymous reporting system being used in Pennsylvania, Safe2Say Something?

Safe2Say Something is a statewide anonymous, 24-7, reporting process for a variety of safety concerns. Click HERE for more information on this initiative.

Are you aware of the Lower Moreland Township School District Harassment/Bullying Reporting Form?

This form is used to gather information about incidents related to bullying. Students, parents, teachers, and administrators can all use this form. This form can be found on each school’s website. Click HERE to view the form.

As a parent, I have a clear understanding of the school's policies, practices, and procedures related to issues of harassment and bullying.

All reported incidents related to bullying are investigated, regardless of how they are reported. The District Code of Conduct is the structure used to apply consequences. Cases are referred to the police if the nature of the incident requires it.

We continue to partner with students, staff, and families to provide a safe environment for all students.
