United Nations Sustainable Development Summit 2015

The United Nations Summit for the adoption of the post-2015 development agenda is convened as a high-level plenary meeting of the General Assembly.

More than 150 world leaders are expected to attend the UN Sustainable Development Summit from September 25-27 at UN headquarters in New York to formally adopt an ambitious new sustainable development agenda. This momentous agenda will serve as the launch pad for action by the international community and by national governments to promote shared prosperity and well-being for all over the next 15 years.

IFLA will be represented by IFLA President Donna Scheeder, GB Member Loida Garcia-Febo and IFLA Deputy Secretary General Stuart Hamilton.

The opening ceremony, statements from each country, adoption of the sustainable development goals and more will be broadcast live on the UN Web TV Channel.
