Principal's Message

Dear Wakefield Middle School Families,

I hope you all had a great, short week! I would like to share some personal information and our current plan of action. I was recently diagnosed with Stage 1 Breast Cancer. I am fortunate to have discovered it early and am working closely with my doctors to aggressively treat it. Because of this course of action, I will need to take a short leave of absence, likely in October. The staff of Wakefield Middle School is committed to the students and my time away will have little to no impact on the forward progress our students will make! We are working with district leadership to potentially have an Interim Principal in place during my leave. As I have more specific details regarding this, I will share them with you.

Please know that I have a very positive outlook and am grateful to be a part of this wonderfully supportive, focused community.

Have a fantastic weekend!

Alison Cleveland

School Procedures

School Start Time

School begins each day at 8:30 am. Students arriving after 8:30 am will be marked tardy. We will begin to officially record tardies starting on Monday.

Morning Arrival and Afternoon Dismissal

Please be aware of the following safety items:

  • At dismissal, we release "Walkers" first so that they can clear the carpool area for ease of access and less crowding among students. Please remind your students to exit and begin walking immediately.
  • Please do not pick up your students in the parking lot. There are too many cars moving through the parking lot and on the drive and we do not want any students to get hit by a car.
  • Please pay attention to the Crossing Guard on Wakefield Pines Drive. He is protecting the safety of our students and bus transportation. Thank you for patience!
