The Redbone coonhound was envolved into a recongized breed before 1900.
The dog comes from foxhounds,bloodhounds and possibly Irish hounds
Redbone coonhounds descend from red hounds brought to the North America by Scottish and irish people.
Males stand 22 to 27 inches at the shoulder and females 21 to 25 inches
They use them for hunting bears,racoon,cougar.They hunt from swamplands to montains and water dogs
