L.I.O.N.S - Loyalty, Integrity, Ownership, Nobility, Service
It never gets old! We have great kids, we have great parents, we have great community support, and we have a great staff here at Lake Creek HS. We have made it to May with only a few more weeks of school left. Thank you for your continued support of Lake Creek HS. We still have work to do and expectations for behavior still in place. It has been great visiting the numerous banquets and award nights the last couple of weeks and seeing our students recognized. It is just as rewarding to see the excitement on the face of our students as it is the excitement on the face of parents, grandparents, and siblings. Despite differences, we continue to work together for what is best for our kids, the students of LCHS. I can never thank you enough for your support!

Reminders from Administration
Our 2022-2023 Student Code of Conduct is available here.
Most common dress code violations:
- No hats, hoodies, caps, head coverings may be worn in the building.
- Skirts/shorts/holes in jeans must be closer to the knee than the hip.
- No cropped tops are allowed. Students' midriff should never be visible.
- Students may not wear clothing or have visible tattoos that displays vulgar, lewd, or obscene writing or images and may not wear emblems that advertise or depict tobacco, alcohol, drugs, or weapons.
Students are required to be in dress code even on campus dress-up days.
Halo Detectors and Metal Detecting wands: To help LCHS combat the vaping epidemic, MISD has installed vape detector devices in locations throughout our campus to help us ensure our campus remains tobacco and drug-free. Administration will be investigating the alerts and consequences will be assigned to students who are found to be in possession of any prohibited devices or substances. It is also possible that administration will use metal detecting wands to confirm whether or not a student is hiding a device on their person. Administrators have been trained and will follow on district policy on the use of the wands.
Nurse's Notes
We made it to May and are nearing the end of another school year! Time for a few reminders:
Please be advised that if your student has medication in the clinic, it must be picked up by a parent or guardian at the end of the school year. Please plan to pick up your student’s medication by 11:30am on Friday, May, 26, 2023. Any medication left in the clinic after this date will be discarded. We will not hold any medication in the clinic over the summer.
An Authorization for Medication Administration form must be completed annually and signed by the parent/guardian. A physician’s signature is required for any prescribed medication that will be taken for more than 14 days. Student Allergy/Asthma action plans must be renewed annually and signed by the student’s physician. The links for these forms can be found below. Seizure Action plans must be renewed annually at the beginning of the school year.
Students who have an immunization exemption form on file that is due to renewed over the summer months will receive a notification in the mail in May. Please turn in the updated notarized form to the school clinic in August when we return to campus.
Any questions or concerns, please contact me in the clinic at 936-276-4009 or via email at joyce.sonnefeld@misd.org.
HAVE A GREAT SUMMER!!!
