Football to Host Hoover Friday Night

Hewitt-Trussville Football (3-1overall; 2-0 7A Region 3) will host Hoover (3-1 overall; 2-0 7A Region ) on Friday night in a region showdown.

Who: Hoover at Hewitt-Trussville
When: Friday September 16 7:00pm (Gates will open at 5:15pm)

Series History:
Friday's game will mark the 25th ever meeting between the two teams. Hoover holds a 20-4 series lead. The Huskies and Bucs went to overtime in the 2021 state quarterfinals.

Volleyball Readies for Busy Week
Hewitt-Trussville Volleyball is preparing for a busy week ahead. The Huskies defeated Mortimer Jordan and Shades Valley on Monday night to improve to 16-6 overall on the season. The Huskies will be on the road Wednesday night as they travel to Pinson Valley. The Huskies will be back at home on Thursday as they host Briarwood. On Saturday, HT will host the Husky Challenge that will include 16 teams from around the state.

Cross Country: Chickasaw Trails Invitational
Hewitt-Trussville Cross Country traveled to Oakville over the weekend for the Chickasaw Trails Invitational.
The HT Boys finished 8th out of 40 teams. Top five finishers for the Huskies:

Swimming: Meet 1 Recap
The Hewitt-Trussville Swimming team began the 2022 season on September 6 at the Vestavia Sprint Splash Meet. The HT Boys finished in 2nd place out of nine teams.

MS Football Improves to 3-0

Hewitt-Trussville Middle School Football swept Homewood last Thursday. The 7th Grade Huskies won 37-7. Chris Davis had seven carries for 192 yards and three touchdowns. Sean Sigler had five carries for 46 yards and two receptions for 84 yards. Sigler scored two touchdowns.
Braxton Wallace had five tackles and four sacks on the day. Ryan Shoop added three tackles.
The 8th Grade Huskies won 48-26. Jake Lowery was 14-19 for 323 yards and three touchdowns. Harrison Malone had 56 yards rushing and 62 yards receiving. Malone scored four times. Jayden Berry had over 100 yards receiving and scored a touchdown.
Harrison Malone led the defense with five tackles. Zayland Germany had three tackles.
MS Cross Country: Girls 3rd; Boys 6th at Chickasaw Trails
The HTMS Cross Country team traveled to Oakville over the weekend for the Chickasaw Trails Invitational. The HT Girls finished 3rd out of 20 teams and the HT Boys finished 6th out of 27 teams.

8th Grade Volleyball Beats Homewood
The HT 8th Grade Volleyball team won in straight sets over Homewood Monday night. The Huskies will be at home again on Wednesday night when they host Thompson. The 7th Grade game will begin at 5pm and the 8th Grade game will begin at 6pm.

Middle School Track & Field Signups
Sign-ups for middle school track and field are starting! Click on the link below to complete the Google Form for sign-ups. Emails will be sent to parents as we get closer to the start date. Important facts for the upcoming seasons are listed below.
- The start date for indoor track and field is November 7th.
- The start date for outdoor track is February 6th.
- A parent meeting will be held at the middle school prior to the indoor season starting.
- Uniforms must be purchased before the season starts to ensure they are on time for the first meet. An email will be sent out regarding when and where those can be purchased from.
