Magnolia High School Library Newsletter
Fall 2022
We are almost finished with the first quarter of the 22-23 school year and this is the first newsletter! :( Time got away from me! It has been a great start and we have so many new things in the library. We have anywhere from 30-75 students in the morning come in to read, work on homework and projects, paint with Buddha boards, build with Lego blocks, work on puzzles, or just prepare for the day. I've tried to get my eyes on some new books and have placed an order to get replacements for series books that we are missing. Be sure to also check the MHS Library Canvas course for additional resources and information. I hope you have all had a great start to the school year and I look forward to seeing you soon!

About Mrs. Harper
I am the librarian at Magnolia High School and this is my 23rd year in education. The last 10 years have been with Magnolia ISD with 4 of those as the BBJH Librarian. I previously taught science, ELA and for a few years I was an academic advisor at The University of Tulsa. I am originally from Oklahoma--graduated from Comanche High School and Oklahoma City University. I earned my Master's Degree in Library & Information Science from SHSU in August 2020. I'm married to Joe, I'm Grady and Whitney's mom, and I have three awesome dogs- Gus, Chief and Maggie. I love to travel, watch sports, listen to music, play with my dogs, read books, and work in the garden.
