COVID-19 Update
Monday 21 March 2022
Our Vision: To grow Catholic, Christian young people,
who are confident, connected lifelong learners, inspired by the teachings of Jesus,
and who make a positive difference in their community.
Dear Family/Whānau
I hope you have all had a happy and relaxing weekend.
I’m sharing with you an update on our current situation at school regarding Covid-19.
Thank you for the vigilance you have shown by keeping your sick children at home and alerting us to their absences.
So far we have been very blessed with low numbers of Covid-19 related illnesses and I’m pleased to say that our health and safety procedures, so far, are keeping us well; all staff masked, year 4-6 masked, learning spaces not mixing indoors, ventilation, and sanitisation.
Today there are 19 of our children away from school. These make up only 2-3 per class, mostly with non Covid related illnesses. Several are self isolating at home as are 4 of our staff members.
We have been fortunate to have some of our reliable relievers available so there has been minimal disruption to our children’s learning.
If we have a high proportion of learners and staff absent, we will switch over to the hybrid style of learning. This involves using online learning systems at home and at school. If this happens, we will give you plenty of notice with the Seesaw family passwords and links.
Thank you also for your support in dropping your children at the gate and picking them up from there after school.
Together we make a difference
God bless you
Christine Cosgrove
