For students who attended an EPS PreK this year and will attend the same school next fall, please complete the annual update for your student in the Parent Portal: https://heritage.edmondschools.net/for-parents/parent-portal/.


For students who attended an EPS PreK this year and will attend a EPS different school next fall, please complete the annual update and select your new EPS Elementary in the Parent Portal: https://heritage.edmondschools.net/for-parents/parent-portal/.

2020-2021 Annual Update to Open May 1

STARTING TODAY, MAY 1ST, parents will need to complete an Annual Update for the 2020-2021 school year by logging into the Parent Portal (not the Campus Parent app). >> https://heritage.edmondschools.net/for-parents/parent-portal/ . Upon login, scroll down and select "MORE" in the lower left corner of your portal screen, then select "Online Registration", then select "Annual Update". You will verify your existing information and make any needed changes. The Annual Update must be completed for your student(s) to receive their 2020-2021 schedule or homeroom teacher/classroom placement.

If your family will not be returning to Edmond Public Schools for the 2020-2021 school year, please let your current school(s) know or email: parentportalhelp@edmondschools.net as soon as possible.

Heritage Student Supply Pick-up


EPS has designated the following days for students to pick up supplies and other items from school: Monday, May 18th and Wednesday, May 20th. To make this process manageable for 760+ students, we have divided the alphabet into 4 sections. We request that families come to school to pick up items during these designated times:


Monday, May 18th


​​8:30-11:00 a.m.​​: Students with last names beginning with A-D

​​1:00-3:30 p.m.​​: Students with last names beginning with E-I


Wednesday, May 20th


8:30-11:00a.m.: Students with last names beginning with J-P

​​1:00 – 3:30 p.m.​: Students with last names beginning with Q-Z


Families with multiple students and different last names, may choose one student’s time slot to collect all children’s supplies. If you cannot come during your family’s designated time, please call the office beginning Monday, May 4 between 9:00 and 3:00 (405) 340-2921.


Please follow the map below and enter through the western-most entrance. Then drive through the pick-up/drop off lane, around the north end of the building to the bus loop. This process will prevent cars from blocking traffic on Sorghum Mill Road.


Please stay in your car. This is a drive-through event. A staff member will approach your car and get the full names and grades of your children. As you continue to pull forward slowly and safely, the next staff member will collect any library books that need to be returned. Finally, a third staff member will hold your car in place as a runner brings student supplies to your car. If you ordered a musical recorder, spring pictures, a 5th grade program CD, or a yearbook, those will be included with your supplies (and any personal items). You will be asked to sign a receipt for your yearbook.


If you forgot to order a yearbook, we have ordered a few extra. Those will be available for sale on a first-come/first-served basis. Beginning Thursday, May 21st at 2:00 p.m. you may drive up to the front door, where we will be selling extra yearbooks from the front porch for $25. Please have exact cash or a check made payable to Heritage PTO. We will not have change.

If your student has a library book checked out, and it is in their classroom, the classroom teacher will get it to Mrs. Drees to be turned in. If you have a library book at home, we are making arrangements to collect them on May 18th and 20th when you collect your students' items. Emails will go out after May 13th with a list of books still checked out after we turn in all of the books in the classrooms. If you have questions, please feel free to email Mrs. Drees at marsha.drees@edmondschools.net.

Food Resources | Edmond Eats Grab and Go Meals

The meals are available for pickup in the drive-thru from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. M-F. Staff will set up by the doors closest to the cafeteria.

Again, the grab and go lunches are available for any child 18 and under regardless of whether they qualify for free and reduced-price meals or what school they attend.


The new sites are:

Frontier (4901 Explorer Dr.)

Heritage (400 E. Sorghum Mill Rd. - on the east side of the building )

Northern Hills (901 E. Wayne St.)

Orvis Risner (2801 S. Rankin St.)


** Thank you to all of you who have offered to volunteer to hand out meals, we appreciate your kindness! For the safety of our students and staff, our Child Nutrition Team will be the only ones preparing and handing out meals. Thank you for understanding!

Summer Meals: The district will continue to provide Grab-and-Go meal service for any child ages 1-18 at 13 locations until May 22.If a federal waiver is extended, meal service will continue through July. The serving locations could change based on the availability of summer staff and sufficient participation at each site.

Hello Heritage Families,

We invite you to practice some of our Great Expectations concepts at HOME! Each week in S’MORE and on our Harmony Live on Facebook, we will be sharing our Life Principle, it’s definition, and a quote by a famous Oklahoman or one relating to our heritage. Life principles are character principles that we are teaching the students. We focus on a Life Principle for 2 weeks. We encourage YOU to discuss the Life Principle and practice using it. For enrichment, some families may enjoy doing a little research and learning about the person/people who gave us the quote. By partnering together, we can help children learn valuable character skills that will help them succeed as students and as adults.

All Edmond Public School students are eligible for Metropolitan Library system library cards. If you or your child does not currently have a card, you are still able to get one even though the libraries are closed. You can sign up by going to www.metrolibrary.org and clicking on the blue rectangle that says “Register a New Account”. The Metropolitan Library system offers free e-books, audiobooks, magazines, movies and more.

Edmond Public Schools Launches Mobile App to Keep Community Informed and Involved!

Edmond Public Schools has launched an official mobile app designed to enable parents, staff, and students to stay informed and up-to-date on important issues, information, and activities underway within the school community. The free app is available for download in the Apple and Android app stores by searching for Edmond Public Schools.


The app features push notifications so that users may be notified about important events, announcements, and news in real-time. Users have the ability to choose which of the district’s schools they would like to follow, making their app experience personal and school-specific.


Key features include:

· Push messaging from both the district and school sites

· News

· Google Calendars

· Online grade book and attendance

· Lunch Menus

· Athletic Information

· Language Translations

The mobile app replaces the district's previous app, SchoolWay, which abruptly ceased operations last summer. The app was developed in cooperation with Intrado, provider of School Messenger solutions.
