This Week Future Schedule Requests Due on Xello (by Friday, Dec 18th)

Our future scheduling process for 2021-2022 is underway. Please see the letter here for information that was emailed to all families with students currently in grades 9, 10, and 11 and links to video presentations that all students viewed on December 1 (and can access in their grade level FHS School Counseling Google Classroom).

Because our process is paperless, we request that all students discuss their choices with their parent/guardian PRIOR to submitting them on Xello. Additional scheduling information, including departmental course details, the ACP Course Guide with complete class descriptions, and a one-page listing of all offered courses can be found at tinyurl.com/FHSCourseSelection.

All students MUST submit their requests on Course Planner on Xello by Friday, December 18.

Please review and follow our morning drop off traffic pattern. Thank you.

FHS Picture Retakes

A photographer was here this morning to take photos of students who are still needing a school ID and yearbook photo. We are aware that a number of students are still excluded so we will schedule one more small session after Winter Break.

This was not an additional opportunity for students in the Virtual program.

Snow/Cold Day Information

As shared in last Friday’s District Newsletter here, Franklin Public Schools will treat Snow/Cold Days as “No School Days” this year. When a decision is made to cancel school due to inclement weather, we will work to notify families before 6am. The following are the ways we communicate the closing and where you can expect to see information:

  • Parents and Staff will be sent an email and phone call alert.

  • Students will be sent an email at their @franklinsabers.org account (4K, 5K, & up through 12th grade)

  • Closing information will be posted to our district and school webpages (in the “News” feeds).

  • Closing information will be posted to our district social media channels (be sure to like or follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram if you don’t already!).

  • Closing information will be shared with local media so that our information is included in the weather updates that occur on local news.

  • Staff note: In some circumstances, there may be situations where district staff are required to or asked to report to the buildings and this would be communicated from a direct supervisor or through our internal email.

Our registration is now open for next school year for new families to the district and next year’s 4K. You can find all necessary details on our website here.
