No School Friday, Veterans Day!
Alta Mesa Families,
I hope everyone changed their clocks this Sunday and adjusted to what might be one of our last daylight savings time changes as Congress looks at a national policy to end the practice. Also, this week we are looking at yet another 4-day week with Friday being Veterans day. Please make sure to mark that down on your calendars.
Next week is our parent-teacher conference week. If you have not yet signed up for a conference please connect with your child's teacher this week to do so. This is an important time to see how your child is doing in all areas of school. Our teachers work very hard to prepare for conferences and look forward to continued partnership with our school community of parents.
We will be rounding out our week with two great events. First, we will be holding our trimester 1 award ceremony in the gym. If your child is receiving an award you will get an invite in the mail. Second, on Thursday evening we will be holding our second movie night on the lawn. This one is depending on the weather, right now it looks like it will be clear but cold so bring your blankets! We will be watching Arthur Christmas and giving out hot chocolate. We will begin at 5:30 on Thursday evening.

Ninja Coalition (3rd-5th Grade) Alta Mesa will be hosting the Ninja Coalition the week after Thanksgiving Break. This is for 3rd-5th graders. Students will be receiving permission slips from their teacher this week. Students must have signed permission slips in order to participate, they must also have closed-toed shoes. | Cookie Dough Fundraiser The Booster Club fundraiser began on October 28th and will run until Tuesday, Nov 15th. This is a great fundraiser and a perfect gift for Christmas! Please help support our school! All sales can be done online and shipped directly to the buyers home. | Stuff The Bus Toy Drive Salvation Army is hosting Stuff The Bus Toy Drive and Alta Mesa is proud to participate. If you are able to donate, please bring unwrapped toys to the office and place them in the Stuff The Bus Toy Drive bin before December 2nd. |
