Fitness Boot Camp
We are going to start a group to loose some weight and get active during this new year. Hopefully it will make us feel better too. We will have a meeting on Wednesday the 25th for everyone who would like to participate. We are thinking of collecting money for a pot, prizes for % lost, work out groups, and just plain ole accountability. One person will weigh us each week and keep that info secret. We will work out the details of the money and everything else on Wednesday. So eat up this weekend, but accountability is a comin... :)
Hope you can join!
Countdown until testing
Testing season is almost upon us. We are on the down hill slide and I want to make sure we make a splash in a great way. Meeting last week were great. I have no doubts that everyone wants our children to succeed. Keep focused, continue to work hard--- and work with each other to do what we can to help "our" children succeed on the exams.
Teacher Money and Supply Money
We have to have all of our merchandise here in building and tickets completed and paid by March 1. That means you need to make all purchases before Feb 22nd. That should give you time to get everything here. If you are wondering if you have $$$.... see Sabine.
Lost Book Forms
You will be receiving a paper that alerts parents that their student has a missing guided reading book and that they need to return it or pay $10.00. Mrs. Taylor is sending you the form via email, but you will receive 10 copies in your box on Monday. Hopefully this will help us replace books when they are missing.
Great Kindness Challnege
We kick off the week next week. You should have received info from Mrs. Phillips and a note to go home with students. I hope you get to join in on the fun and help spread kindness all around.
Potluck
We will have our annual SuperBowl potluck on Friday,Feb. 3rd. We will wear team colors and have a day of snacking fun. Sign up sheet later in lounge.
PTO Request
The PTO continues to support many programs throughout our school. They have expressed that they are short on their box top goal and would like a challenge to get a big push of giving over the remainder of the year. As you know the school is divided into teams for box top rewards instead of by class. They would like to ask teachers to be in a "top a teacher" contest for the end of year box tops goal. We would have 2 teams, one would be able to top their teacher or principal and the other team would top the other, depending on which team brought in the most! We are thinking chocolate syrup, cool whip, stuff like that.
IF you are willing please send me an email so I can let them know if we have enough to participate.
