Principal's Message

We have five instructional days until our first round of STAAR Assessment! We are ready! Continue preparing students this week. The A-team will begin rewarding the TOP 5 students in each section this week for the following:
  • Effort
  • Participation
  • Use of strategies
  • Improvement

An A-team member will come by your class at 2:30 to reward each sections TOP 5!


As you continue reviewing content this week, make sure that students are engaged. Students should be engaged in authentic conversation around answer choices. Make the review sessions effective and purposeful.


In lieu, of STEM this week, please submit your best writing samples to Ms. Booker, she will post them on our Spotlight on Writing Wall in the Media Center. This week during Spot Observations and Extended Observations we will continue our focus of aligned lessons, from the LO, to the lesson activities, through to the DOL. Ensure that your instructional focus is intentional and targeted.

Students will not receive SPECIALS in 4th and 5th Grades this week. SPECIALS teachers will come and relieve teachers for their planning period. Teachers please have independent work prepared for students during this time.


Your intentionality will make the difference during this time of the year!!! Remember you are making the difference in the lives of your students. You have all the resources and supports that you need to make it happen. Persevere!!!!


If you have not completed the Staff Intent Survey, please do so. This information assists us as we plan for the 2015-2016 school year.

With eleven weeks left of the school year, there are often times that the classroom can seem a bit noisy.
