About Women's Rights

The women’s right movement actually began in 1848, when the first women's rights convention was held in Seneca Falls, New York. For the next years, women's suffrage supporters worked to educate the public about the validity of woman suffrage.


Women's right movement went through 1848 to 1920, and then on August 26, 1920, the 19 amendment to the Constitution was ratified, giving the women the right to vote.

The reason that women's right was important was because it gave every women the equal rights as men do.
