CVP Student Shout Outs
Ms. Hollowell wants to give a major shout-out to Mady Brown! She has stepped up her came and taken ownership of her learning! Keep up the good work Mady!
Mr. Giebel and Ms. Hollowell want to recognize all the hard work Callie Ritter has done this semester. She has done a great job of stepping outside of her comfort zone! We're proud of you Callie!
Ms. Caruso wants to give a shout-out to Kameron for making a huge improvement in his studies this week! Keep working hard Kameron! You got this!
Important Dates to Note

Attention: CVP Students Returning to In-Person Instruction in January
- Contact your home school's main office AFTER December 1st, 2021 to discuss any transition needs they have for you.
- If you received a Chromebook from CVP for this semester, please plan to return it to the CVP office once you are complete with your coursework for this semester. Our office will be closed from December 23rd - January 4th for Winter Break. You can bring your device back on or after January 5th.
ISTEP Make-Up Testing Schedule
Did you miss your initial ISTEP Testing Date? Here are the scheduled make-up sessions:
English/Language Arts Part 1: Monday, November 29th from 12:00 - 3:00 pm
English/Language Arts Part 2: Tuesday, November 30th from 12:00 - 3:00 pm
Math Part 1: Wednesday, December 1st from 12:30 - 2:30 pm
Math Part 2: Thursday, December 2nd from 12:30 - 3:00 pm
If your child is unable to participate in one of those sessions, please email Mr. Giebel (firstname.lastname@example.org) ASAP to make alternate arrangements.
Your child is expected to participate in the ISTEP assessments in-person at our CVP building located at 2401 Beam Road, Columbus, IN, 47203. Please plan to drop off your child for the assessment and pick them up when the assessment is complete. The assessment calendar is shown below:
NWEA Middle of the Year Testing Window
Students in grades K-6 will participate 3 times a year in the NWEA Diagnostic Assessment. BCSC uses NWEA MAP Growth and MAP Reading Fluency for the universal literacy screening for all students in kindergarten through second grade. NWEA is used as an assessment tool in all K-6 classrooms at the beginning, middle, and end of the year. The middle of the year (M.O.Y) window is open now.
All CVP students will be expected to participate in the M.O.Y NWEA diagnostic assessments in-person at our CVP building located at 2401 Beam Road, Columbus, IN, 47203. Please plan to drop off your K-6 student for the assessment and pick them up when the assessment is complete. The assessment calendar is shown below:
Middle School Semester 2 Electives Sign Up
CVP students in grades 6 - 8 will have an additional opportunity to add elective courses to their schedule in Quarters 3 and 4, students in grades 6 - 8 will have the opportunity to take additional electives if they choose to do so. A detailed list of the available electives is included in this form.
6th Graders - may add 1 optional elective to their schedule for each semester.
7th & 8th Graders - are required to take 1 elective each semester and can take an optional 2nd elective. (Note: if you are already enrolled in 5 courses, adding an elective is optional.)
This is for parents of students in Grades 6 - 12 only. Parents of students in grades K-5 already have access to progress reports with the email associated with the student account.
