JANUARY NEWSLETTER
5th Grade
WELCOME BACK!
We hope you all enjoyed your winter break! We are happy to report that many of our students are ALL CAUGHT UP with their math work! We are working hard to keep it that way! You can help by asking your child each night to see their planner! If they do not finish their daily work in class, they are to take it home with them and complete it THAT EVENING as their homework. This is what is expected next year in middle school, so we are trying to prepare them for that! As always, PLEASE feel free to contact us if you ever have any questions or concerns!

5th Grade WAX MUSUEM
On March 4th, our Franklin 5th graders will transform themselves into a person in history who has made an impact on the world! We have already started this project! We are learning about MANY possible options for our students to learn about! Once a choice has been made, they will research their subject while taking notes, write a biography, complete a timeline and poster, AND FINALLY dress up as their subject and then present his/her life's accomplishments in a wax museum form.
It is a lot of work, but also a LOT of FUN! On the afternoon of March 4th, you are invited to visit and watch as our museum comes to life!! Look for more information on this as it gets closer!
