COVID-19: SCHOOL UPDATE

Governor Holcomb's Latest Announcement
Parents,
I apologize for emailing you while you are all on Spring Break. I hope that you've had a chance to relax this week and enjoy some time with your family!
As you may have seen, Governor Holcomb announced today that Indiana school buildings will remain closed (in a state of remote learning) through the duration of the 2019-20 school year. If you didn't catch the press conference, HERE is the Indy Star article describing it.
As with the last time, Indiana Administrators were notified of this latest update at the same time as the rest of the state during the press release this afternoon. At this time, we will be sticking with our plan to hold e-learning 3 days/week during the month of April. Additional information regarding how this latest update will impact St. Luke Catholic School during the month of May is forthcoming. Rest assured, we will be working closely with Monsignor Schaedel as well as the Archdiocesan Office of Catholic Schools to determine the best way to move forward. A plan will be released at a later date addressing academic school days as well as other end-of-year activities (8th grade graduation, the musical, etc.).
Stay tuned and please continue to keep all of our school staff and families in your prayers!
Blessings
Mrs. Kissel
