Sycamore Educators of the Year

We received over 350 nominations for the 2021-22 Sycamore Educator of the Year! Due to the overwhelming response, an Educator of the Year was selected from each of our seven buildings. Senior Walk on May 25

The Class of 2022 will be returning to their elementary schools on May 25 from 10:00 am-12:30 pm for the annual Senior Walk! This has grown to be one of our staff and students' favorite tradition. Look for photos on social media!

2022 Distinguished Alumni: Jerome Byrd

A Sycamore High School alum, current staff member, and community servant has been selected as the 2022 Distinguished Alumni.

Mr. Jerome Byrd graduated from Sycamore High School in 1976. He has served as a local pastor for over three decades as well as on the custodial staff at Sycamore Schools. He is the district’s first African American Distinguished Alumni. Learn more about Mr. Byrd's life and legacy.

SHS Senior Receives 2022 Straight "A" Scholarship

A Sycamore High School senior was just named a 2022 Straight “A” Scholarship recipient by the Anthony Munoz Foundation. Deeya Prakash is one of 18 students in the Tri-State area to receive a $2000 college scholarship. The scholarship is given to students with a minimum of a 3.0 grade point average and actively serve in the community. Click here to learn more about this accomplishment.

Student Artwork To Be Displayed at Congressional Office

Thank you to the Sycamore Family for voting for Sophomore Tanvi Mayya in the Congressional Art Competition. She won first place and will have her artwork displayed at Congressman Steve Chabot's office for the next year!

Senior Athlete Raising Suicide Awareness

Senior Jake Hertzman has made it his mission to help teens struggling with their mental health. He is bringing awareness to the new suicide prevention lifeline number 988, activating nationwide in July. Learn more about Hertzman's efforts.

Bengals RB Joe Mixon Visits Blue Ash Elementary

Mixon accomplished! Bengals runningback Joe Mixon visited students at Blue Ash Elementary on May 2. A group of students created the #BengalsToBlueAsh social media campaign to bring a player to school after their Super Bowl run. The goal of the project was to show students the power of social media. Sycamore Welcomes New Assistant Principals

Sycamore Community Schools is excited to welcome two new assistant principals to our administrative teams! Janelle Schunk will be joining Sycamore High School from Oak Hills Schools. Symmes Elementary

Over the summer, Symmes Elementary will undergo its final renovation project when crews give the gymnasium a makeover with new paint and refinished floors.

E.H. Greene Intermediate

The new E.H. Greene Intermediate is nearing completion! The academic areas are getting final finishes (ceiling, paint, floorings). Demoliton of the old building will begin on June 6. The district will begin moving into the new building on July 1. The music suite and gym renovations are expected to be completed by November.

Sycamore Junior High

The new Sycamore Junior High remains on budget and on schedule to open for the 2023-24 school year. Crews are beginning to close up the exterior walls of the auditorium and administration areas. Mechanicals are going into the classroom wings and drywall is beginning to go up.

Sycamore High School

Sycamore High School renovations continue this summer with work beginning on gymnasium, locker rooms, new front entrance, parking enhancements, and exterior athletic improvements. Sycamore Child Nutrition has set up a temporary serving space as crews already have begun renovating the cafeteria and kitchen areas. Sitework continues on Phase I of the Sycamore Stadium project.

Student Events

Symmes Players Presents: "The Claw" May 6-8

Symmes Players will debut their musical performance of "The Claw" on Friday, May 6. The Friday show is sold out, however, tickets are still available for Saturday, May 7 at 7:30 pm and on Sunday, May 8 at 2:00pm. They'll be performing on the new stage at Symmes Elementary! Tickets are $7 each.

2022 Athletics Hall of Fame

The 2022 Athletics Hall of Fame Dinner will be held on May 7 at Montgomery Inn. Help us in celebrating our nine inductees including the 2011 Women's Golf Team! Click here to see the list of inductees and for ticket information.

Summer School 2022

We are excited to once again offer enrichment and recovery courses during Sycamore Summer School 2022! Registration is open now through June 2 via Parent Portal.
  • Grades K-4: June 13-July 8, 8:00 am-12:00 pm at Maple Dale
  • Grades 5-8: June 13-July 8, 8:00 am-12:00 pm at Sycamore Jr. High
  • Grades 9-12: June 13-July 22, 8:00 am-12:00 pm at Sycamore Jr. High

Greene 101 will be held August 16-17 or 18-19 for new E.H. Greene students. JH Launch will be held on the first day of school for incoming seventh graders (August 30).
