What's happening at Sultan Middle School

Noticing's from Dr. Plummer

Hello Skyhawk Families,

The holiday season is always a mixed bag in schools. Some families associate the Holiday Season with joy and excitement, while others are less excited. Regardless of where you and your family are at, SMS is working hard to lift up all students and help them to be the best they can be as learners and as humans. We can use your help.

Students were separated for quite some time during the closures and returning to school is still a learning curve for maladaptive behaviors. As a school, we have taught and will continue to teach, several lessons centering on students Social Emotional health, addressing bullying/harassment, and the dangers of improper social media use. Where we could use your help is to check your student's social media accounts, ask them about relationships at school, and promptly report any concerning things that you hear.

We are spending a lot of time supporting student-to-student relationships. As well as respectful behavior at school with peers and adults. With your partnerships, we can help keep Sultan Middle School the safe haven we need it to be.
