OCTOBER STATEWIDE SLP WEBINAR
Statewide SLP Webinar #2: Can We Talk? Conquering Difficult Conversations
October 21 from 9:00 a.m. to Noon
Dr. Shari Robertson
Communication may be a speech-language pathologist's life's work, but difficult conversations are still DIFFICULT! With other tasks and stressors vying for the limited time and resources of the school-based SLP, it can be easy to put off having a difficult conversation in the hopes that the problem will go away. Unfortunately, the longer hard conversations are avoided, the larger the problem becomes.
This presentation will provide a solution-oriented, step-by-step approach to starting and managing difficult conversations. Imagine a workplace with less stress, increased trust, and better outcomes for everyone. You've got this!

This series will provide speech-language pathologists with hands-on experience evaluating and designing treatment plans for students who speak languages other than English at home. Videos, test protocol forms, and speech-language samples will be analyzed for speakers of various languages to make diagnostic decisions and design dynamic assessment procedures and treatment plans. Participants must attend all three virtual sessions. This will be an intermediate, professional series.
