A Message from Nurse Jamie
Hi Mashburn families!
Nurse Troup is conducting a hearing and vision screening for 1st, 3rd, and 5th graders on Wednesday, October 24, 2018. The two shifts are 8:15-11:30 and 11:15-2:30, and she would like to have 3-4 volunteers at all times. There will be a short volunteer training session from 8:15-8:30 for the first shift and 11:15-11:30 for the second. It's super easy to conduct. Lunch is provided before or after each shift through the cafeteria. She'll be happy to have any help so please sign up and comment if you are able to help a partial shift.

Kindergartners Need Your Help
Hello, Mashburn family!
We are calling on you all to help our newest readers achieve a lofty goal. Kindergarten students who come to us without a firm foundation in literacy often have difficulty catching up to their peers. To make sure we give them an even playing field, we are asking for you to help them hear 500 books read aloud.
Have 10 minutes? Need a break from a stressful day? Come on down to the kindergarten hallway! Each teacher has an RTM center close to their door. Simply pull one or two names, ask for the students and read them a book. There is a book basket with books to read, or you can bring your own. Once you finish, smile a space on the student’s card, and send them back to class.
Please see a more detailed set of directions by clicking this link.
Important Lunch Account Reminder
To ensure your child can continue to enjoy school meals or to clear your student’s account of any negative balances, please send a payment, (cash or check) to the school, or visit WWW.MyPaymentsPlus.com, to make a payment online. This website is a convenient way to make payments and monitor your child's account balance.
Per county policy a courtesy meal of a Cheese Sandwich and Milk will be provided if there is not sufficient funds on the students account. If you have any questions or need assistance please contact Lisa Hasse, Cafeteria Manager.
