The team logo is the New York skyline inside of a baseball designed by a cartoonist named Ray Gatto, and if you look close enough you can see the Empire State Building. When the Mets play home they wear a pinstriped uniform kinda the same as the ones they wore in 1962 and the fans are still in love with it.
Spirit
The Mets have been famous for their fans.In 1960 when the team was losing the Mets often had bigger crowds than any other New York teams, that drove the Yankees crazy. The Mets would even include days when the fans are allowed to run the bases. Mets are probably the only team that has had the same cheer for more than 40 years. At every game since 1962 Mr. Met would walk through the crowd and shake hands, lead cheers, and sometime dance on the top of the dugouts.
