Major Facts Of Colombia!

Colombia is one of the most beautiful countries in the entire world.It is located in South America. The flag consists of three different colors, yellow, blue, and red. With the yellow meaning sovereignty and justice of the country. The blue meaning the loyalty and vigilance of the country. And the last color red meaning the freedom from Spain. The capital of my country is Bogota. The most common spoken language in Colombia is Spanish. Five words in Spanish are como, hablar, comunicar, bailar, and gustar. Colombia is a republic that has the same three branches like the United States. Colombia's major industries are petroleum, natural gas coal mining and manufacturing. These three major industries attract the greatest U.S. investment interest.

Currencies and Food!

In Colombia the currency is Colombian pesos. One dollar here is equal to 3,250 pesos. Colombia has delicious foods especially deserts. Colombian food can consist of fish sense it is next to the coast. But there are also very tasty meats and soups. Although we have tasty food, we are better known for our deserts such as something we call Raspados. We also make Flan and Cholados.

Religon and education

In Colombia the religion is Roman catholic which is 90% of our country and the rest are different religions from all over the world. We study the bible and God. Colombia has many beautiful churches and many people attend. We do something called Misa on sunday for up to one hour.

Education in Colombia is very different from the U.S. In Colombia there is Preschool then what we call elementary but there is no kindergarten. After that you finish elementary the you go on to High school because there is no Middle school.
