K5 Promotion Program
We are busy working on our kindergarten promotion songs and poems. The children are doing a wonderful job and are very excited. Please plan on attending the program Tuesday, May 10 at 10:00. Each child will need to have an umbrella to keep here at school. We will be walking over to the Main Building for our program rehearsals next Monday, Wednesday and Friday...rain or shine!
Your child will need to wear his or her performance dress for our dress rehearsal on Monday, May 9th AND Tuesday, May 10th for the program.
Here are the guidelines for Performance Dress:
1. No tennis shoes or backless shoes. (Backless shoes fall off easily when going
on and off the risers.)
2. No T-shirts or denim, please.
3. Nice collared dress shirts and pants for boys and dresses/ nice blouses and skirts for girls.
The End of the Year
To celebrate a job well done on the promotion program, we will be having a “Summer Fun” celebration the day after our program on Wednesday, May 11. We will also be having an end of the year Breakfast on the last day of school. We want to make these two days very special for the children so we will have a treat at our “Summer Fun” celebration on Wednesday and brunch-type food at school on the last day. I am in need of two parents to volunteer to help run our games and one parent to set up snack for us in the classroom while the children are playing outside. Please send $3.00 (in an envelope with your child’s name on it) to cover the cost of our Wednesday treat and Thursday brunch. This was due today. Please send it in on Monday, May 2. Thank you!
