3 Math

This week, students:

-presented their backpack projects to the "marketing team".

-analyzed math problems to determine which property of math was being used.

-read, wrote and solved addition and subtraction equations with both the situation equation and the solution equation.

-wrote equations to solve multiplication and division equations.

-solved comparison problems using all 4 operations.

Math 4

This week, students...

-solved multiplication problems with decimals greater than 1.

-learned to understand and apply shift patterns when multiplying by 10, 100, 1000, 0.1 or 0.001

-rounded whole and decimal numbers to estimate the product in a multiplication problem.

-practiced multiplying with decimals.

-solved real world problems.

-completed a quick quiz!

Our chapter 4 test will be on Monday. Students should complete the review pages as homework and review all the pages in their chapter 4 packet.

Reading 3/4

This week, students....

-completed the Unit 2 test and performance task. Be sure to look at their scores on

-began our first book club, Call it Courage by Armstrong Sperry.

-discussed chapter 1 with our book club and evaluated our discussion/participation.

-wrote a personal narrative about an experience that changed our view on something.

-discussed chapter 2 with our book club and evaluated our discussion/participation.
