Resolutions
Normally you would hear a rant about the NFC East and the home team looking to whoop up on the division leaders. This year was so unlike anything we have ever experienced, so it was difficult to focus on football. That being said, I think we can all agree that no one wants to see the Giants or big D in the playoffs. Go home team!!!
With so many of us experiencing hardships still, especially around the holidays, it is important to turn our attention to resolutions. Our resolution this year as a community will be to continue to harness our positive energy through a collective growth mindset. As we are faced with relentless adversity, we will continue to look for the silver lining and be sure to come out stronger at every turn. That is Seneca Strong. That is who we are.
Next week’s theme is New Beginnings. With a new semester on the horizon, a new year at our fingertips, and a ton of hard work under our belts, how will we emerge?
Important Information
Monday’s Schedule: I moved this to the front because after a two week break with only two weeks left in the semester, I consider office hours an extremely important time for everyone to get back on the same page. Please check in with teachers and Student/ParentVUE tomorrow to get back into game day form.
Advisory: 9:00-9:15AM
Office Hours: 1:00-2:00PM Math, SS, World Languages, FACS, Tech Ed, Art
2:00-3:00PM English, Science, Health & PE, Music
Hybrid and Distant Learning for the 2nd Semester (January 21): We left off in December with a shift back to 100% distant learning due to higher COVID cases in Loudoun County. Those numbers still remain high and we will await further instruction from the division regarding the January 21proposed hybrid planning. Currently, we have a coffee/ cocoa planned for January 13 at 11:45 AM to discuss the latest news regarding concurrent hybrid and distant learning.
School Photos: School Photos will be January 27 and 28, 2021. We are waiting for confirmation on the times. Students will be coming by alphabet split into 4 groups- 2 each day. I will send a separate email with specific details and protocols. If for some reason the time slot set up does not work, you are able to come and get photos at any time that is convenient.
Our School Resource Officer (SRO) Deputy Rivera completed an internet safety training with all Seneca students through resource before the break. I wanted to share that recording here because I believe the information from Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is something that should be discussed as a family.
