TECH TIP OF THE WEEK
Words of Wisdom
Forgiveness is the fragrance that the violet sheds on the heel that has crushed it.
~ Mark Twain
The hurt experienced during a betrayal or wrongdoing can be deep and long-lasting. What it doesn't have to be is permanent and damaging. Whether we hear the words of apology that we want to hear or not, moving on is an integral part of healing. Forgiveness is not acting as though nothing happened, it's the realization that the only person continuing to be harmed is yourself. It's important to take the time to explain to young people that forgiveness is not a sign of weakness. In fact, it's the ultimate strength because it releases the grip of resentment and restores one's personal power.
With something to think about . . .
Remember to take care of yourself.
Keep your kindness intact. Let go of the pain of a past hurt. You don't have to forget, but by forgiving, you allow yourself the permission to heal.
Happy Birthday!
