Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

By : Carly Campbell

When you recycle you convert waste into a reusable material.

It is proven that about 75% of waste is recyclable and we only recycle about 30% of it.

Also to to make a newspaper each week it takes about 500,000 trees to be cut down, BUT if you just recycle one single run go the paper it would save 75,000 trees.

Recycling one can of aluminum can save enough energy to listen to a full album of your iPhone.

Reducing is to make something smaller or a less amount. For example when you buy food only buy what you need. When you are brushing your teeth turn the water off when you are not using it. Also if your are not in a room with the lights on make sure you turn them off. Reducing is basically like cutting down on things that you don't have to have.

Reuse or use something more than once. You could give unwanted items to charity. Also you could re-wear clothes. Re use of use things more than once and help save on items!
