About Who...? About Me!
Can you dive?
Can you dive into the water? Let alone - can you dive into the water backwords? Diving gracefully is a skill that many people wish that they had.
Are you being safe near the water?
You should always have the confidence that if you were to be in an accident involoving water, you would be able to swim to safety.
Do you have all of your certification?
If you want to become a lifeguard, you need to have passed all of the required levels.
Born With Fins
At the very young age of two, my parents made the decision to enroll me into a swimming class, and because I enjoyed swimming so much, this turned into endless hours of swimming lessons. In the end though, I was rewarded by completing the journey through the basic swimming levels by the age of 11 years old and was one of the youngest people in all of Mississauga to achieve my Broze Cross before the age of 13.

How will swimming help your son or daughter?
Is your son or daughter safe near the water? Swimming is a life long skill that could possibly save your life or your child's life. Just two hours of one-on-one swimming lessons learning how to tread water or flutter kick, can keep you afloat in case of an emergency.
Summer jobs? After completing all of the levels in swimming, some swimmers carry on to get their NLS (National Lifeguarding Society) certification, which means that you have become an offical lifeguard in Ontario. This certification gives you the oppurtunity to apply for a summer job at a pool, which is a great way for your child to get a sense of responsibility about maintaining a job, and the money that they earn.
Are you a black belt?
By earning a black belt, you do get a sense of respect for your hard work and self discipline to achieve this very significant goal.
Thinking about expanding friendships?
Karate is a great way to make new friends outside of your school friends. It is a way to meet new people who have the same interests as you.
Defending yourself?
Sometimes in an emergency, defending yourself physically is nessessary and it is always good to know how to protect yourself.
Let's Put Your Chop to the Test!
For the past four years, I have been engaged in a long journey with the goal of becoming a black belt and I am now a half step away from achieving my goal. I have been training with the Mississauga Chito-Ryu Karate Academy learning the traditional Japenese style "Chito-Ryu".

"Ohhh Just Punch Them in the Face" is Just What They All Say
If your son or daugher, or even you perhaps, were to be attacked on the street, what would you do? Most people say "Oohh just punch them in the face!", but realistically, when you are attacked, most panic and don't think before they act. This is where karate can be a very useful skill, teaching you that brains come before braun and that technique can help you win fights. Karate not only teaches you how to defend yourself in dangerous situations but also teaches you hard work, patience, and allows you to escape from school stress. Enter the "dojo", where you can meet friends who have the same goals as you.
