Student of the Month - Malikye Lettsome
The teacher who nominated Malikye wrote, “Malikye is just a very responsible and respectful student. He puts all his effort into anything he does. He is new here from the Virgin Islands and he has tried so hard to adapt and make friends. He is willing to be vulnerable and put himself out there. Malikye never misses school and he is a great example of our academic and attendance goals at this school. Overall, Malikye is a very wonderful student who absolutely deserves to be student of the month.” While at GWHS Malikye’s attendance has been 99.24% and he has earned a GPA of 3.665!
Malikye is an incredibly positive and gracious young man. When asked about his accomplishments, Malikye spoke mostly about his success in moving to a new place he never expected to be where so much is different. He’s worked hard to adjust and get to know people saying, “I want to meet new people, to get along and not be left out. I want to make new friends and be welcome and loved and feel good.”

Welcome Robert Wilmoth
Mr. Wilmoth is our new Social Studies teacher and he's going to introduce himself.
I am not too shy about the fact that I am a big nerd. I love tabletop roleplaying games, comics, books, movies, board games, and video games. Captain America is my favorite superhero, my favorite movies are the Lord of the Rings movies, Exalted is my favorite rpg, Cowboy Bebop is my favorite anime, and the Fallout games are my favorite video games. Reading is a particular passion and it is rare that you'll find me without a book nearby. Right now my favorite fiction book is Neil Gaiman's American Gods and my favorite non-fiction book is Régine Pernoud's Joan of Arc: By Herself and Her Witnesses. I love being outside as much as possible and when weather permits I enjoy going on hikes or just lounging in the grass under a giant shade tree reading a novel.
