Principal's Message

If we compared our school year to a football game, this would be the third quarter. The third quarter for us is important because although you may have data that shows there are still students struggling, the game is definitely not over. There is still time to use every strategy and best practice that we have in our bag of tricks to make sure that all of our students are successful. Next week our 4th graders are taking their Writing test and our 5th graders are taking their Reading test. This is a very important week for them. There is a lot that can be accomplished in one week. Let's support and encourage both our students and our teachers in any way we can. WE CAN DO IT! Let's work hard so that when those scores come back there are no regrets!

Let's Go Sudie, Let's Go!

Open House

April 9th has been designated as an open house for all of our Feeder Pattern schools. This means that anyone from our neighborhood or community is welcome to stop by and visit classrooms. This day is a regular school day for everyone. You do not have to do anything different than what you are already doing. Good, aligned, rigorous instruction is expected everyday no matter who walks in to visit. That being said, please make every effort to ensure that there is plenty of great student work posted in our hallways and in our bulletin boards. Let's have a sense of pride in our school and in our students' work with what we display. Our halls and classrooms communicate what type of instruction occurs here at Sudie Williams.

Individual Conferences

Conferences continue this week and I must say, I truly enjoy the time that I have been able to spend with each one of you. I wish we could do this more often. I learn so much from our conversations and I hope you are finding them as helpful as I do. The conversations have been focused, rich, open, and honest. I hope you continue to communicate with me in the same way for the remainder of the year. Let's work together to ensure a strong finish!

Dignity - bearing, conduct, or speech indicative of self- respect

The word of the week will be read in the auditorium. Have the designated student(s) in the auditorium by 7:45.
