Dear SPASH Parents and Families:
Thank you for your role in the start to this school year. We’ve had a great first six weeks of the year and it’s hard to believe that November is only a couple of weeks away. We are also past the first mid-quarter grading period of the year – please talk with your student about how they’re doing and do not hesitate to reach out to any teachers to do the same.
Homecoming 2023
Homecoming 2023 was a weeklong celebration highlighted by fun and traditional events for our students including window decorating, the annual Mr. SPASH event, float-building, the parade, the pep-fest, junior vs senior flag football and our homecoming dance. Congratulations to Rose Vue on being elected homecoming queen and Jamie Reeve for winning the Mr. SPASH contest. The weather all week was beautiful and I am especially proud of the way our students conducted themselves and the school and community spirit that was on full display.
First Professional Development Day of the Year
Please note that Thursday, October 26, 2023 is a Professional Development day and that Friday, October 27, 2023 is a “no school” day. Students will not attend school on either of those days.
Parent Teacher Conferences
Parent-teacher conferences at SPASH will be on Monday, November 13, 2023 from 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM and on Thursday, November 16, 2023 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM. We look forward to seeing and meeting with you about your student’s progress. Please watch your email for additional information and updates.
Thank you for your engagement and support. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns and we’ll work to help.
Sincerely,
Jon R. Vollendorf, Ed.D.
SPASH Principal
