Suwanee Express
Week of December 10th
We have a busy 9 days ahead of us. But, like always....I know each of you will sparkle. You have worked so hard to prepare and support your students as they prepare to show all they know on this week's mid-year assessments, make progress on their learning goals, and continue to grow each and every day. Celebrate the wins no matter how small because those small steps in the right direction all add up.
Please take a close look at the calendar, schedule changes, and reminders on the Suwanee Express to ensure you are making note of the changes.
Thanks for all you do!
Your Biggest Fan,
Mrs. Taylor

Holiday Feast Information
- All students eat in the cafeteria during their Holiday Feast time. We have added a little extra time for parent visitors to get through the line. At the 30 minutes mark, I would like teachers to return to the cafeteria to begin helping students wrap up the lunch time.
- On non feast days, please partner with your grade level and bring ONLY students who are buying lunch to the cafe. Please plan with your grade level to make this smooth, (example: two teachers watch the classes while two bring the kiddos to buy lunch). Do not bring ALL the students to the lunch room instead only bring those that need to buy their lunch and than bring them back to the classroom to eat. Let admin know if you need help.
- There is a slight adjustment to your lunch time on non feast days so please take note.
12/13/18 (eat in classrooms)
Kindergarten at 11:05
1st Grade at 12:15
3rd Grade at 1:05
12/14/18 (eat in classrooms)
2nd Grade at 10:45
4th Grade at 11:30
5th Grade at 1:05
Suggestions to make the winter celebrations a success:
2. Discuss with your grade level team the plan for the celebration (make sure no one room is getting "more" if it's looking this way, please let admin know ASAP, so we can jump in and support.
3. Avoid switching classrooms. This can get hectic and cause more disruption for room parents, students, and teachers. But, let me know if your team has a plan for switching classes....I'm open to hear your thoughts on this.
4. Eat in the classrooms. Stick with water and clear drinks (sprite).
5. Have a check-out form printed out for students leaving with parents.
6. Plan engaging instructional lessons leading up to your celebration.
7. Build your classroom community by making connections with your families and students.
Exhausted teacher, I see you.
In your classroom teaching, working hard to meet the needs of all your students. Engaging, motivating, educating, empowering all the while being thrown obstacles that could easily derail your best laid plans.
I See You
Pouring your heart into the mental and emotional needs of your students. Intervening, worrying, researching to figure out how to help in situations you had no part in creating.
I See You
Struggling to keep your sanity and calm. Smiling bravely even though you want to cry at times. Volunteering to help, even though you are behind because you know our kids need it. Staying positive even though you feel anything but.
I See You, and I'm thankful for you each and every day! You are making a difference keep going! I believe in you.
THANK YOU!
