We Have a Lot To Be Proud Of, Keep Hacking Away!
Having a firm understanding of why our kids need something different is vital. I believe our staff understands that the world our kids are going to asked to work in is much changed and thus we can no longer prepare them in a traditional way. I am proud of the work that you all do and understand that we work in a challenging environment where the best-laid plans can be difficult to implement.
I encourage us all to keep learning and practicing according to the best interest of kids. With this mentality and the level of care, we can work together to deliver the best possible experience for our kids. Thanks for all that you do!
Glad you're here!

Dallas Education Foundation Grant Applications Due October 25th.
Info about the DEF Grants:
The purpose of the Dallas Education Foundation (DEF) is to enhance and supplement the educational opportunities and needs of students and staff in the Dallas School District. We primarily do this through the funding of teacher grants. We are now ready to accept applications for the 2019-2020 school year and are excited to hear from your teachers about the projects they would like us to fund. We prioritize requests that impact the largest amounts of students over a longer period of time, and we also recognize the value of innovation in the classroom and encourage any teacher who dreams of trying something new, but hasn't been able to because of resources, to apply.
The application deadline is October 25, 2019
New this year, we will be asking for impact statements (and hopefully photos) from those who receive grants. This information is vitally important as we continue to raise funds to support the district.
