Reading Homework
Have your child:
1. Listen to the story by Eric Carle "Pancakes, Pancakes!"
2. What is your favorite breakfast food? How do you make it? Write a procedural text (how to story) explaining how to prepare your favorite breakfast food.
*Make sure your sentence(s) makes sense, has spaces between words, and punctuation at the end.
Math Homework
Monday - Practice ordering objects by their weight from "lightest" to "heaviest". Watch the video below. Find 5 objects in your home. Put them in order from "lightest" to "heaviest".
Tuesday - Practice comparing the weight of 2 objects. Watch the video below. Find 2 objects in your home. Compare their weight. Record your findings by writing a sentence and adding an illustration.
ex: The noodle is lighter than the block.
Wednesday - Practice subitizing (reading the set of objects quickly). Watch the video below. As you are watching, stop and say how many dots you see in the ten frame and how see them. Then write the matching number sentence.
ex: "I see 5 and 2 and that makes 7"
5+2=7
Thursday - Practice subitizing. Repeat the lesson above.
Friday - No homework. Have a great weekend!
