Art
Activities will include basic and intermediate drawing techniques. Drawing the human face, learning to draw animals, anime and cartoon sketches as well as learning shading skills. Materials used will include charcoal pencils, pencil, colored pencil and pastels if time allows. Students will also learn about Art History and artists lives through regularly scheduled lessons.
All of these activities will take place whether we are in distance learning mode or on site at the school. When we are able to safely teach on site we will also be including clay sculpting projects.
Advanced Art
Advanced Art is a one year course. Activities will include basic and intermediate drawing and ceramic techniques. Drawing the face, figures, animals, and objects in addition to beginning hand-building and wheel throwing techniques. Materials used will include charcoal pencils, pencil, colored pencil, and functional and sculptural ceramics. Students will also learn about Art History and artists through regularly scheduled lessons.
Students must have passed Art 1 with either an A or a B and permission from Ms. Miller to take this class.
