Routine Covid -19 at Thacher School
Please sign up for Covid Pool Testing.Be mindful if your child is a close contact at our school, then you will be contacted through a call from the nurse or administrator with contact 0-3 feet or an email for 3-6 ft.
If you have not yet provided consent for your child, please consider doing it. Participation in testing helps to prevent community spread by identifying asymptomatic cases and ensures students are learning in the safest possible environment. Most significantly, students in the program will be able to avoid quarantining and remain in school in most circumstances if identified as a close contact through “Test and Stay.” As a result of our involvement in DESE’s incentive program.
Please fill out the consent link (all interested families please complete the consent link)
***If you child has been Binax tested at school through Crush the Curve, then you may receive an email from CIC Health.

Family Thanksgiving Tablecloth
Looking for a new tradition to start? Consider starting the creation of a Family Thanksgiving Tablecloth. Each year, everyone invited to Thanksgiving dinner signs the tablecloth with a permanent marker.
Here are a few tips to kick up the sentimental value:
- New baby in the family? Trace their hand or foot on the tablecloth so they are represented.
- Use a different color marker for each year. Create a key along one of the bottom edges so you can look back and see who was there in 2017.
- Your daughter invited her fiancé last year and then he called off the wedding? No problem, place the gravy boat over his name!
An alternative idea would be to do this with a table runner.

Please check your child for these symptoms and if present, will need a PCR COVID 19 test (antigen test or otherwise known as rapid test cannot be accepted for symptomatic students) before returning to school:
COVID-19 symptoms list:
• Fever (100.0° Fahrenheit or higher), chills, or shaking chills
• Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
• New loss of taste or smell
• Muscle aches or body aches
• Cough (not due to other known cause, such as chronic cough)

• Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea, when in combination with other symptoms
• Headache when in combination with other symptom

In general, students with vomiting, fever, and/or diarrhea may not return until free of those symptoms for 24 hours – even if tested negative for covid 19.
