Determination
Empathy
Our 6 grade level teams earned points for meeting our school expectations and the winning team (6th grade Red Team) earned the right to play in a championship soccer match against the teachers. Below are some great shots from the epic battle.
*Note: Questionable score keeping led to a victory for the students :)
Basketball Pack the Place (Feb. 1 @5pm)
The Shepard StuCo is hosting the FIRST EVER "Pack the Place" charity basketball competition. Our 8th grade boys and girls basketball teams will be hitting the court against Officer Maldonado and members of our Deerfield Police and Fire Departments.
Proceeds will support The 100 Club of Illinois, serving first responders and their families.

Honoring an American Hero
As we head into the long weekend, I wanted to take a moment to honor the life and mission of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. While there are many great videos and biography resources that showcase Dr. King's work and sacrifice during the Civil Rights Movement, the video below is one that is appropriate for students of almost any age.
