Lions Park Paw Prints

Letter from the PTO

Dear Lions Park Families,

It is hard to believe that we are already in the month of November. We hope that you have all been able to enjoy the nice weather that we have had. Halloween was such a fun day at Lions Park! After the Halloween Parade, classes spent the afternoon participating in the Halloween parties making crafts, playing games, and having some fun! It was so wonderful to see the children enjoy these fun activities! Thank you to all the parent volunteers who attended and for creating engaging activities for the kids to enjoy.

The PTO is getting excited for the upcoming Turkey Shoot. The Turkey Shoot is a family basketball activity hosted by the PTO. Parents and children team up for three shooting activities. The Turkey Shoot will be held on Tuesday November 15th from 4:30-7pm. If you have not signed up yet. SIGN UP HERE

Veterans Day

Lions Park is fortunate to be invited to the Village of Mount Prospect Veterans Day Celebration at the Lions Park Recreation Center each year. We have attended virtually in recent years, but we are glad to return to our pre-pandemic tradition of attending the ceremony in person. We will walk across the park where we have recess to the recreation center to attend this ceremony at 10:30am on Friday, November 11th. Our chorus students will be singing a song to honor the veterans in attendance. The other students will attend and watch the ceremony. If you have any concerns about your child attending this event, please reach out to Ms. Kelly directly at kkelly@d57.org. We are proud to be part of this celebration!
