**Special message for ALL 4th grade Parents**
Last week, teachers sent home information regarding our AWESOME field trip to Austin!! Along with this information, you also received the great news that our BES PTA is hosting a special fundraiser to help raise money to lower the cost of this field trip. We would LOVE for all of our Bears to participate in the trip to Austin. It’s going to be a full day of learning and team building with peers.
The fundraiser will help lower the cost of ALL students going on the trip. Therefore, the more students that participate, the more money we raise and the more we can lower costs.
**Please contact your child’s teacher about questions regarding the field trip AND the upcoming fundraiser. **
Wishing you the BEST weekend!!!! See you Monday morning!!!

From the Library…
Parents, just a reminder, overdue/lost book notices went out the week we returned from Christmas break. There are still a lot of books that are overdue. Until the child's book is returned/paid for, they are not able to check out other books. Please check with your child to see if they have any overdue books.
If you have any questions feel free to email me at april.rice@wylieisd.net
Happy Reading,

We are starting our 21 Day Challenge January 23rd.
Here are 5 Steps to start!
1. Start off strong with a healthy breakfast. A good breakfast provides energy and will help keep you alert and attentive in class.
2. Drink plenty of Water. Water is the best fluid to stay hydrated without the added sugar found in some juice and soft drinks. Milk is also a good alternative.
3. Eat a nutritious and yummy lunch. Choose foods from all the food groups. Different food groups supply our bodies with energy to think, move, and grow.
4. Cut back on sugar and salty snacks. Limit sodas, sport drinks, candy, chips, and ice cream – they add on extra calories, can harm your teeth, and leave you tired and weak.
5. Enhance your brain performance. Exercise at least 30 minutes a day, play memory games, or do crossword puzzles.
Let’s have a healthy school year!
