Shakespeare was born in Stratford-upon-avon in the mid 1500's and died in the early 1600's. His parents were wealthy so he was born and grew up with money. He was a actor and a poet. He married a 26 year old woman named anne hatheway when he was 18. He then had 3 children. He wrote and acted in many plays and poems including Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, Midsummers night dream, and many more. He wrote hamlet after his son, Hamnet. He made some of his own language like "bite your thumb" which was a critical insult. His plays mostly consisted of actors that were all boys and men and his plays were only played during the day in daylight. One of the other things that he had a part ownership of the famous Globe theatre.
