I hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend. We had a great meeting last night with several upcoming projects coming soon. Just a friendly reminder that chapter meeting attendance is very important, We were missing several members last night. Hope we can have a great group at the October meeting. Please take a minute to get caught up on what's going on in J.A. -Emily

Provisional Tea

Make plans to attend the provisional tea on Sunday, September 20th from 2-4 p.m. at Vandy Williams' home. If you nominated someone for provisional please be there to support them and answer any questions they may have. We will have homemade ice cream, drinks, and finger foods. Members signed up at last night's meeting.

Viking Pen Pal

If you signed up to be a Viking Pen Pal this year your first letter is due to Katie. You can also email Katie the letter if you cannot get it to her Klkvball@hotmail.com

Shoebox Surprise

Please signup to bring a shoebox for a middle school student with basic necessities. Some suggestions include soap, lotion, toothbrush and toothpaste. Save your receipt and turn it into Cathy. You can be reimbursed up to $5. http://vols.pt/bf9rD3 Bring the shoebox to the October meeting.

Kid Print-Fall Fest

Our next Kid Print will be Saturday, October 10th from 10-12.

We have adopted the Melton children. A first grader and a third grader. Linda Sampson and her committee worked hard to get this started. More information will be given out regarding projects with the children.

Education Hour

Last night we were fortunate to have Phyllis and Patricia from the Humboldt Housing Authority to share about Camp Discovery and the impact we have made over the last several years with J.A. Summer Camp. Thanks Ashley Hook for arranging the education hour. It was very informative.

Finance Projects

Finance Projects are 100% participation. Big thanks for Renee and her committee for working so hard.

October is the annual auction. Each member is asked to bring one holiday item and one any day item. $10-$15. There will also be a door prize given away at the meeting. Everyone that brings a friend gets their name in the drawing. We want to invite our associate and life members to attend the auction as well.

There will be small snacks available at the meeting.

That's My Pan Fundraiser The executive board voted on the That's My Pan Fundraiser. Details and packets will be given out during the October meeting. For more information take a look at the website. The goal is for every member to sell at least 5 items. Great items for Christmas! http://www.thatsmypan.com/store/

Community Helpers: Boys and Girls Club: Halloween Event

If you can assist with the Halloween Fundraiser Event at Bailey Park on Saturday, October 31st please contact Ashley Hook. Hours are 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. If you assist with this project the hours go towards community helper hours.

October Meeting

October 5th! We will meet at Humboldt Utilities at 6:00 p.m. for the meeting and auction. Bring your items and be ready to bid. Great time to shop! Invite your friends to come! Our area Junior Auxiliary representative will be in attendance at the October meeting. Please make sure you are wearing your name tag and are on time.
