Due to the huge time differences in lunch on these next few days, PLEASE send your child with a snack so they are not starving. :) Appropriate snacks are pretzels, crackers, banana, apple, granola bars, etc. Please, no fruit cups or jello things that can spill. Also, only CLEAR LIQUID to drink. Thanks so much!

Have you ever needed to get to the public library, but ran out of time that weekend? Have you ever wanted your child to read, but they said they couldn't check out any books until you turn in the ones that you are still looking for at home? ;) If you said yes to any of those, PLEASE READ FURTHER!

If your child has not talked about this yet, it is an INCREDIBLE resource to take advantage of! It is a free app. Your child's log in is: and the password is: read2015. Their personal passcode is 4 digits. These digits are the 4 digits in the Apple ID/Google ID. You have this already to log in to their Report Cards on Google Drive.

You will be amazed at all the choices of books they are able to read through this app. They earn badges, track their reading time in minutes and hours, track pages flipped, can favorite books, and more. They LOVE it and so do I!

Try it out at home simply by adding the app to a device or going to the website

Curriculum Connections

Math - I can tell time to the half hour and hour on both digital and analog clocks.

Social Studies - I can compare good citizenship in leaders from long ago and now.

Reading - I can use what I read and what I already know to make the pictures in my mind clearer.

Writing - I can revise to make my ideas clearer. I can use punctuation consistently.

Science - I can write observations daily from the egg system.

Spelling Test

Due to many reasons, the Spelling test last week was postponed to this Friday. We still have one more week of studying Long e/Digraph ee. The words and concepts are the same. Thanks!
