The 8th grade social has been rescheduled for April 28th.

Morning Arrival Time

We have been seeing an uptick in students arriving late to first hour in recent weeks. In order to begin our school day effectively, we ask all students to be in their first period classes by 8:52 AM.

Bus Riders: Students arriving late to school on the bus will be provided a tardy pass to class without penalty.

Parent Drop Off: Students arriving late to school via parent drop off will be provided a pass to class. However, students will be marked tardy.

Any student accruing 3 tardies or more will be assigned a lunch detention. Each additional tardy will result in subsequent consequences. We reviewed this procedure with our students during lunches last week and ask for your partnership in ensuring students arrive to school each day with an appropriate amount of time to make it to class by 8:52 AM.

See Something, Say Something

Barrington 220 is now partnering with an Illinois school safety helpline aimed at providing students a place to report information that might prevent bullying, suicide, and campus violence. Safe2Help is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It allows students to confidentially share school safety issues via a mobile app, text, email, or phone call. You will notice that the "See Something, Say Something" button on our district and school website now links directly to the Safe2Help contact page. We are asking that all students, parents, staff, and community members now use this platform to report safety concerns. In the case of an emergency, call 911. Please be aware that when a Safe2Help report is made which references Suicide, Self-Harm or School Safety building staff and/or local authorities will be contacted.
During an emergency situation at one of our schools, it is important for our community to work together. Barrington 220 has developed this tip sheet for parents/guardians, which shares specific actions parents/guardians should take in the event of an emergency.
