Enjoy the Weekend! You deserve it.
Please take this long weekend for yourselves. Take the time to unplug and enjoy doing something other than work. Each and everyone of you have done an amazing job over the past ten weeks of distance learning. Our students, families, community, and Cory & I want to thank you for all of your efforts to connect, engage, and provide learning opportunities for our kids. Even though this time hasn't been easy, you have exceeded our expectations. You have continued to connect with each other and problem-solve. You have continued to build relationships with parents, creating a stronger partnership with them. Distance learning has taught us:
- Wilson Warhawks (staff, students, and parents) persevere.
- Parent/School partnerships have grown stronger in the face of struggle.
- Our staff can do anything they set their minds to.
- Our staff members are creative problem-solvers and critical thinkers.
- We are stronger together.
- And so much more.
We are proud to have each of you on our team here at Wilson. You are incredible individuals. Please take this weekend to relax, rejuvinate, and have fun!
Summative Reports
Pam will be sharing your information regarding your summative reports before the end of the week. Once you have that information, you can begin the process of completing them:
- Share the Google Form with students, so they can complete their portion. Please give them a deadline (I would suggest June 5th).
- As students are completing their portion, you will be able to go into the Summative Google Sheets (spreadsheet) to complete your comments for each student.
- Summative reports are due June 12th.
If students do not complete their summative evaluation, please do the following:
- Add his/her name to the Summative Google Spreadsheet for that class.
- Record "Student did not respond." in the sections for the student response.
- If the student DID engage in distance learning, please add your comments.
- If the student DID NOT engage in distance learning, please add "Student did not respond." in the teacher section as well.
PLEASE REMEMBER DO NOT CHANGE THE FORMAT FOR EITHER THE GOOGLE FORM NOR THE GOOGLE SHEET. THEY ARE SET UP TO AUTOMATICALLY FEED INTO THE FINAL SUMMATIVE REPORT FOR EACH CHILD.
Last Week of School
Things to consider in regards to the last week of school, June 8-11th:
- Use it as a wrap up week with students.
- Please do not start any new assignments/new learning opportunities.
- Use the week to do something fun with your students.
- Use the week to finish up any summative reports.
- We will also have a couple things for that week as well. Stay tuned for more information.
