The faculty, staff, students, and parents of Christ the King Catholic School are proud of our pastor, Msgr. Francis I. Malone, who has been named Bishop-elect of Shreveport, LA. We will have a going-away celebration for him on Friday, December 20th at 10:00 in the church. Bishop-Elect Malone's Ordination will be on Tuesday, January 28th at the Cathedral of St. John Berchman in Shreveport. In order for teachers, staff, students, and families to attend there will be no school on January 28th.

Christ the King students, shadow students, and students from the Arkansas School for the Blind & Visually Impaired all enjoyed watching the Arkansas Arts Center’s traveling production of “A Christmas Carol"!

Jr. High students are getting in the Christmas spirit and dressed in their "ugly" Christmas sweaters today for a little festive fun!

Congratulations to 8th grader Grace Garrity who won the CTK Spelling Bee. A representative from each class in 3rd-8th grade participated. CTK is full of good spellers!

Fifth graders are learning about early explorers and the first settlements. They did a Readers Theater about the Real Thanksgiving celebration in 1565 in St. Augustine, Florida between the Spanish and the Timucua.

Eighth graders enjoyed lunch from Slim Chickens before Thanksgiving break. This is just one of many special events they will celebrate during their last year at CTK.

Bishop-Elect Malone stopped by the 8th grade classrooms to share a special card he found. It was a birthday card that the current 8th grade class made for him when they were in Pre-K. They enjoyed looking for their thumbprints and names!

As 1st graders are gearing up for their Christmas Pageant, Ms. Friend caught them practicing their singing in Art class.
