How to Obtain a Chromebook
Please complete this form, if your child needs to check out a PUSD Chromebook. Complete one form per child per school.
Damaged Chromebook - If you need assistance with a damaged Chromebook, email
pusdithelp@powayusd.com and, if you need a replacement Chromebook, please go to the library for a replacement Chromebook.

District Chromebook
PUSD Chromebook Login Page
Students who checked out a District Chromebook will now login using their 7-digit student identification and 6-digit date of birth password instead of @stu.powayusd.com.
Previous Student ‘email’ google id which is actually just a google login account has the format:
User Name: firstnameFirstInitialOfLastNameLast5numbersOfStudentID@stu.powayusd.com

Zoom Information
Activate and Authenticate Your Zoom AccountPrior to first use you must activate the new 2020-2021 PUSD Zoom for Education platform. This only needs to be done once. Students will need their PUSD username and password. Open the Zoom app on MyPlan.
The student zoom account info should be visible here.
Leave this window open then open Canvas from the MyPlan apps. Now Zoom meetings should launch without errors

Chromebook Volume or Speaker Issues

FIRST Update your chrome book
- Login to Chromebook
- At the bottom right, select the time.
- Select Settings (gear icon) .
- At the bottom of the left panel, select About Chrome OS.
- Under "Google Chrome OS," you'll find which version of the Chrome operating system your Chromebook uses.
- Select Check for updates.
- If your Chromebook finds a software update, it will start to download automatically. Restart
Increase Mic Volume
After Updating, to Increase Mic volume:
- Login to Chromebook
- At the bottom right, select the time
- There will be an arrow > to the right of the volume control. Select the arrow and increase the volume on the microphone.
Can You Hear Me Now?
Test the mic volume
- visit the webpage zoom.us/test and begin a test meeting or during any zoom meeting;
- At the bottom left, make sure the microphone icon is unmuted.
- Click on the up arrow (^) next to the microphone icon.
- Click on Audio Settings.
- Along the top of the pop-up, click Audio.
- Click to put a check in the box “Automatically adjust microphone volume”
- As you speak into the mic you should see the volume bars increase
